Trurip Dreamcast Missings
« on: July 19, 2014 - 16:17:46 »
Hi,

Just a couple of missing files I couldn't find on usenet or PD or here (I might be blind again, if so please enlighten me :-). They are not in the TOSEC set either.

Applications:
Code:

Games (PAL):

Games (NTSC-US)
Code:

Games (NTSC-J)
Code:
Only registered users can see contents. Please click here to Register or Login.
Samplers:

All in all around 3GB (uncompressed) of missing files, most of it in NTSC-J.

Would anybody be able to fill these or point me to where I can do so myself? Thank you! :-)

Thank you ! :-)

Downloading now, fixing sets then, and starting to think about how much fun it will be to create par2s for a 550+ gig set for usenet :->

Not to be greedy but while you are here ... you wouldn't also happen to have the two missing Saturn images?

To quote ripper006 himself from his post on PD for the Saturn set:

I can't force and will never force the dumper to release his dumps.
But, really, if you are gonna hoard things, just be a gentleman and really keep them to yourself, ie. just don't say a word about it to anyone. Adding dumps to a DAT and refusing to release them is a childish bragging and I can't help but think that when you resort to bragging, you just publicly admit your life is shit and you need others to compensate. ::)

Anyway, I haven't been able to repair the Mega-CD set, I guess that will also be a problem with the PC Engine one, so may I suggest you divide the sets just like they do in PD? That would be easier to everyone, including you, and you can still make a common NZB.

Ah, I seem to have missed that note :-) Thanks for the clarification.

Yeah, I saw problems with the Mega-CD one too, trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with it. I suspect it's the ampersand or some such folly. I may reupload the PARs soon once I know what is wrong.

The PC-Engine one posted here should work fine; QuickPar repaired it without trouble.

I thought it was a MacPar Deluxe issue, but I'll try again with it and see.
Thank you for the new PARs.

These are absolutly f***ing my words.
there are two ways:
1. dont dump it, means if you dont dump it, you cant create a dat for it.
2. dont tell it, if you dump it, be silent if you dont plan to give it to public (with at least getting your "money" back!)

I think, "we" are no pirates at all, we like to preserve a good time, and why dont we share that to everyone who deserves that? No one is making money with your personal dumps. Yes, you spend money to get em, but, look at number 2.
just not to be bad, i just proclaim to not to use search anymore for others than myself. Its easy. If you got almost fullsets, your missings are often posted together in one.

DATs are auto generated. If there is a hash it gets added. I am not going to remove 2 entries just because you don't like it.

And yes there was a guy making money from trurip dumps. He was selling full sets on dvd on a Brazil eBay type site.

The goal of database.trurip.org is to catalogue the software of as many classic systems as possible.
database.trurip.org does not and will never host ISO or ROM downloads!

you can generate a dat without there depending files?? awesome.
maybe you are right. there are a few people which dont follow the rules, which are bad people.
Maybe i say it a little bit different:
If i have a very seldom CD, which i dont want you to have a copy in any way, why should i dump it, and tell you the crc's or give you a sample to cataloguise it?
This is like i buy a expensive car, tell everyone how much is was, and never show it, like pretending how expensive my new iphone was. like braintrash said: childish bragging.
congrats to your special CD, shame on you to tell us, without giving a look on it. get your cd's or dvd's but dont tell us unless you want to give it to us. I'm going with 15 Icecream in a Kindergarten... hmmmm, yummy, but no one will ever get one from me...
Thats my words. Goodsets for example are using excessively this behaviour.

the end of the line? i have to live with it, without getting annoyed about it. oooooooommmmmm.....

There will always be bastards to sell piracy DVDs.

As for the dumps, I can't help but remember a guy who had many prototypes he never released to this day. Cowering had them and made a special unreleased goodtool to list them. At least, the things remained private, especially since the guy is now an has been and even God is unsure about what happened to the dumps. Possibly, they are lost forever.

History repeats itself.

anything that gets dumped by the trurip dumpers gets added to my database.  i have a ton of unverified hashes which you guys dont even see..

if you see it in a DAT it is because at least more than one person dumped it and the dumps matched.

i do have a special flag that i can toggle so that a particular dump doesnt show up in a DAT,
but if Ripper006 didn't toggle it, i assume he had a reason for it.

since i dont really feel like rereading the thread to find the particular titles, send me a pm with the title names and i will email him and ask him why
they aren't hidden.
