Ha...

I used RomVault to rebuild also....

But, then I rescanned them all with ClrMame Pro, batch mode...

RomVault has renaming Issues.....It misses some...

Also, you gotta watch what boxes you tick as far as the root directories go...

It will remove ANYTHING, that It considers should not be there, to the Datroot, and there Is no order to that folder, unlike Clr, which makes directories for each dat In backup....so at least you know where they came from, and they are not all mixed up together.

It doesnt remove all file types from ToSort, so It becomes VERY MESSY

There are a couple of sets It cannot handle...NonGoodSFC for example...my RomVault wants Individual files for each Rom, and Clr, rebuilds to combined zips, so If Im not careful In what I tick, the combined zips keep going to ToSort

Connies latest Handheld dat, produces errors, yet scans 100% In RomVault, so I think teh config file corrups often..

To Repair, really means, having to rescan EVERYTHING..

No Intro NES...It cannot handle headers...yet It has no problem with NonGoodNES, or Tosec,..

As for Daphne....I still dont know what It did with those files!

Made me look like an Idiot, when I KNOW...Its that bloody program..

Anyway, It has Its uses, but I no longer trust It for certain sets, and I am very careful, not to add too many new dats, at once, In case of a problem, and finally, I rescan all sets with Clr...once RomVault Is done...

It hogs memory, also, when you add too many dats...but does have Its uses..

I dont hate It...I am disappointed, It has not grown.....and none of these Issues have been addressed In ages..

They are Important, and for a program with such potential, I am pissed, that I cant use It, as It should be used..

Once again, I will say, the cross scanning of sets, Is just so bloody handy, and time saving, that alone makes It worthwhile.....I not so long ago, would spend HOURS each day, cross scanning sets manually..

However....the problems It has, are often frustrating..

So I am begging the author, to continue, and please look at some of these Issues..

Ive been using It long enough now, I know It back to front.....so Im not talking crap..

I, am actually a perfectionist...comes from doing a trade..

Do It Once.....Do It Well!

Cheers

@RCade

VP1-VP7 comes from "Visual Pinball vx.xx (Early) - PinMAME - WIP"
that was an old DAT file...most people kept those tables and brought it along with the 2013-09-08 Set
