Advanscene contains phrase "scene"... there happens to be such a forum on-line.

Not the same thing.

"Scene releases" are in multivolume RAR archives, usually with an NFO file and an image of the cartridge.

Advanscene are like No-Intro, dat files.

I'm not too familiar with Advanscene but I'd say you can consider it as a project like No-Intro.

Scene releases are the stuff from release groups in its original form.

Dats are used to describe a file. What it is, how big, which name. With a Dat-File, you can undoubtable determine what you are asking you. There is no second view, if you have those dats. If you ask for pokemon, no one can specify exactly what you are asking for...
just not to be bad, i just proclaim to not to use search anymore for others than myself. Its easy. If you got almost fullsets, your missings are often posted together in one.

@jukio0408:

Your "full quote" is hard to read, right, but I think I got your questions...

dat files have nothing to do with playing ROMs. dat files are something like databases for verifying (and renaming) files.

Edit:
"clrmamepro" is a well-known program which can read and create dat files. But it's not the only program you can use, of course.

D34con-san, s4nQy29A-san,

Sorry..,

I was written by translation Web site.

I do not know how to write to the outside of the frame of quote.....

I knew the dat file is a game database..

Is it possible that I have to read the dat file and use the "clrmamepro"?

If, I buy a gateway and sky, dat file is, it's no need?

Thanks,
D34con-san, s4nQy29A-san.

All that is written between "quote" and "/quote" (+ square brackets, see above) is shown as a quotation. So you have to put the cursor AFTER the "/quote" to start your own writing.

Please be aware that "dat" is just a file extension. You can name a file whatever you want. Regarding the Gateway card, it also uses a file with the "dat" extension (Launcher.dat) . However, that dat file is completely unrelated to the dats we "always" speak about here at romshepherd. (I don't know about the files used with Sky3DS.)

If you want to check your ROMs in terms of their titles, use a program like clrmamepro, RomCenter, RomVault or Romulus and download a dat at [You are not allowed to view links] Register or Login - considering that you have posted in the No-Intro thread.

If you want to play ROMs with Gateway3DS or Sky3DS, visit the website of the manufacturer and download the suitable firmware/config/software files.

Edit:
And please do some research regarding "firmware version"/"(not) updating" your 3DS console when you want to play ROMs with it.

Can I use Gateway3ds very hard?

Is Launcher.dat this thread file.dat or no?

First of all, I'm no expert for playing 3DS ROMs at all. ;)

Sorry, I don't understand.

I guess you are talking about "fix dats". You need to download an "official" dat first into your ROM manager program and scan your ROMs, then you can let your program ("clrmamepro", for example) create such a fix dat file. It makes it easier for others if they want to provide your missing ROMs.

firmware version is 4.x...?
I'm quite sure that will work (at least that was the case some time ago).

You may also read up on "custom firmware" (CFW) when you want to play your ROMs.

I'd say that depends. :p

Nope, go the the Gateway website if you want to get the corresponding "Launcher.dat" (it's part of the firmware download).

Hello, s4nQy29A-san.

When I will buy gateway, I will go to get Launcher.dat and CFW from gateway site.

I can use gateway with 3ds.

Thank you,

jukio :)
