This set compliments exodos. Exodos is for DOS games only while this is for Windows 3.x games only. Hope that clears things up.

I am wondering if it is possible to have all the extras like box art and such on a machine running Windows 98?

What i don't really understand is that Windows 3.x is just a graphical shell for DOS 6.22.
So all the games must still be DOS games...

It varies, most games will probably run on 9x/ME/XP with little or no problems while others will require patches and/or workarounds to make them compatible.
And there will be some won't run at all due to any number of possible incompatibilities.

eXo went great lengths to provide the dependencies for each instance. Other than the processor requirements being unbalanced due to CPU emulation, it's much easier to run, but I still boot a VMware install which does hardware abstraction whenever I want to calm my fans and provide enough juice.

Do you run DOSbox from within a VMware virtual OS? Which OS? What are specs of your PC? Do you run DOSBOX and a frontend?

I want to set up a PC exclusively  for old DOS and Win 3.x games. I have a Core 2 Duo PC ready.

No, VMware is a heavyweight alternative to the DOSBox emulator, where I installed and can run DOS 6.22, Windows 3.1, Windows 98, Windows XP, and Ubuntu Linux operating systems simultaneously on a single quadcore computer with Windows 7 and 16GB of RAM. I don't play enough games to warrant a frontend, I just hand configure for the various needs of a chosen game and install it as natively as I can without setting up a secondary computer.

Oh, does collection come with installation executables for each game so you could install on a real OS install/VMware virtual machine?

No, it all comes prepared to the point of playability. Original installers are usually absent, so you'll need to find one yourself or copy the files under the DOSBox instance to your game system and see if they'll still play.

Exodos contains games that are made for MS-DOS, where this collection is aimed at games that are specifically made to run under Windows 3.x.

Is it best to combine all the games into one folder? Should they all be extracted for use with emulators?

Also, the following games when I tried to extract them were corrupted:

Monopoly (1995).zip
Zapitalism (1996).zip

Anyone know where I can get these?

Both read fine here, though mine were distributed via bittorrent.  Did you use the PAR files to verify your usenet download was correct?  They are there to repair your data if needed.
