Reicast for windows (Dreamcast)

Place the Dll in same folder of the Emulator.

This version is 64 bit only but on reicast site you can download other build

hey all... I also am receiving the same fatal error that TeoRex describes earlier in this thread. Is there a remedy to fix this error so that I can get Reicast for Windows (32bit/x86) working??

Sorry for the gravedigging, but I thought I should mention that if you're on x86_64 Linux you should use 7oxicshadows fork.

The official source has a bug in Linux builds and does not save nvram on exit, this one does.

Hey everyone! I'm new to this site but, the links from the OP are .html files?!? I've tried right click-save as AND simply left clicking but it still just comes up as a .Html file instead of the 7zip file it shows. I then download the .html file thinking maybe the link was on there but, that is just the homepage for romshepherd. I tried to just search google for Reicast but its an android app so I believe the link from the OP is what I need(As i'm trying to run this on 64-bit windows). What am I doing wrong? TIA

I'm trying to relive some of my Dreamcast and Saturn nostalgia.  I tried to emulate some Saturn discs a few years ago and that system is very tough to emulate. I'm glad that Demul is making so much progress lately. Hell the entire emulation scene is going strong this year. Keep up all the good work!

If you have a strong enough PC, [You are not allowed to view links] Register or Login is what you want for Saturn emulation.
Just as Reicast, this is command line based but the emulation is second to none.

Thank you! I have Mednafen and a few other Saturn emulators. I have heard that you should have a few emulators on hand because some are compatible with one game but not with another. What other emulators would you recommend for dreamcast?

Actually Reicast is the only one I use because my emulation PC hooked up to the big screen is running Manjaro Linux.. and afaik Reicast is the only non windows opensource alternative.
That being said, Reicast performs better for me than Demul, NullDC & Chankast in the handful of games I play, so win-win situation here.

Just click the links, they're attachments not direct links to a file.
