Again Folks, a great "THANK YOU" to all of you.

My N64 set is as a complete as it can get, missing 17 of 5282. You are an amazing bunch of people, keeping the emulation community up.  :-*

Can someone give me a quick rundown through the XMDB format, so I can help out with creating current XMBDs from Zandro's sort scripts?

Cheers,

Hello, new to GoodTools, and the GoodSet in general. I've scanned my GoodSet twice now and I've attached the results below. However, when I manually browse my collection, I cannot seem to see where the 40 Winks prototype roms are stored. I trust that GoodTools has scanned my collection correctly (since I've done it twice now, and reconfigured it each time to make sure), but it does seem very strange.

Those who have a complete GoodN64 set, can you explain where it's located/whatever name it is under? I would have assumed it would have been in the following screenshot:

Thanks in advance for anyone who helps!

You have a GoodMerged set. The Goodtools only scan sets correctly with unmerged roms (one rom per archive), or without archival.  If up to date and correctly merged, you would have 40 Winks.7z.

Sorry, but it looks like you have not really done a fresh scan, as I believe you had GoodN64.db and Have/Miss lists from a previous form of the set.  You will need to remove these files and run a new scan against extracted roms to determine actual completeness of your set.

Really? When I was scanning the set, it appeared to scan the files within the archives as well. I made sure to remove any previous Have/Miss lists, and let the new scan generate new files.

If it isn't able to scan multiple files in singular archives, then I guess I'm in for the long haul and will have to manually extract every archive and generate a correct miss list, thanks for the help Zandro.

Sorry for the confusion Zandro, I have an N64Have file now with the ROMs I'm actually missing. Hopefully some kind souls can help me out :)

I've separated the 17 MIA ROMs from those people actually have for convenience.

These were mentioned earlier, so I looked at my upload of the GoodN64 set in an earlier topic, and it happens to be missing those very archives...  Go figure. 362 days later, I've added them.  [You are not allowed to view links] Register or Login

If you still have the merged form, just download them into the set.  If not, you can sort the files with my [You are not allowed to view links] Register or Login, batch wrap to zip with WinRAR, and follow up with t7z to finish again.  Or, just re-download the full set.  My regards.

Yup, I don't recall which post, but I downloaded your GoodN64 set. I really appreciate your efforts, especially since my last set was thousands of roms out of date.

Thank you so much for the update! I still have your archived set, as well as the extracted set for using with GoodTools. Once again, really appreciate it!

Hello,

I used a Hex editor and removed last 4MB from Diddy Kong Racing (U) (M2) (V1.0) [f5][o1] as result I have Diddy Kong Racing (U) (M2) (V1.0) [f5].
I think we can do this with other misses.

Now I have only 16 missing  :P

Hi all,

extremely new.  I am trying to just find roms for difficult games to find like GoldenEye.  I have downloaded the set above (that you Zandro) but now to play the game do I put every rom in the emulator rom folder?  I think what I am looking for is merged or maybe no intro?  Even if someone can just point me in a tutorial direction for general rom collection.  Sorry so new. :(

missing...
just not to be bad, i just proclaim to not to use search anymore for others than myself. Its easy. If you got almost fullsets, your missings are often posted together in one.
