Weird downloading the same dat you have and reading the datfile in the copy of that exact same dat (I just freshly downloaded it)
I'm getting a different checksum in it.

Going to go do it over again, I must have screwed up somewhere, very drained I've been at this for hours.

Found it! the custom dats with with Parent/Clone setups have a different checksum then the main default dat, that being
the case which is the correct one?

I don't mean to be late to the party, but anybody have the Star Fox 2 (Japan) ROM from the SFC Classic Mini? I got all the other stuff to bring my SNES set up to date, but I'm missing that one. Someone said they got it from here, but I can't find it. Thanks!

Forgive my noob-ness, but I don't really manage the DATs using a program, so I don't know how to make a fixdat. I am just using 7zip to check CRCs of files I got from here and other places against the DAT file from DAToMatic. I got the complete 20170425 set and all updates up to 20170908 from another forum, and all the remaining ROMs from 20170908 to today from this forum. This is the Star Fox 2 that I am missing, copied straight from the latest DAT:

That's a brutal way to check ROMs. Check out Romulus, ROM Center, and/or CLRMAMEPro pretty much anything other than by hand in 7zip. However, to each their own, ROM attached, enjoy!

Actually, I have all those programs. I was simply describing how I checked I had the last few ROMs I needed since the last cumulative update pack I downloaded back in September. (Speak of the devil, a 20171210 update pack just appeared there. I was starting to cobble together stuff manually because I was worried that Star Fox 2 would be missing from said pack due to the whole brouhaha 6 months ago, and turns out it's there anyway - I guess because the No-Intro sets thread on that forum has grandfather protection by the mods.)

I just don't really do DAT checks like that very much because I don't keep full sets indefinitely. I start with the full sets, yes, but I work backwards to what I want to keep (using LookDisk, Excel and PowerShell scripts to compare lists of titles of games I don't want against lists of games I have, output a CSV or delimited TXT file, and deleting those files with the script), so a pure "missing" list would be useless to me since it would include stuff I intentionally deleted.

Thanks for the file!
