Headered sets dats
« on: January 01, 2018 - 19:26:31 »
Hey,
First thing I'm sorry if this place is not the right one to post it.

Are there dats for headered sets? I don't really like header skipper, that's why I'm asking, and 'making' dats for headered files/sets.
I prepared dats from my headered sets and if someone would be able to check it with theirs it would be nice.

I know there is for NES but it does not have most up to date namings.

The main problem with NES headers is that they are not verified at all. Having "some header" does not mean that this is the correct one. Thats why emulators like Mesen have own databases like this one: [You are not allowed to view links] Register or Login

You could create/verify iNES 2.0 headers based on this informations

Thanks for the dats i dont like the header skipper and want to have a dat for each sets, its annoying to scan the headerless set first every time a update is released then use the skipper and the dat becomes kinda headered only and headerless set is left behind :/

So I got a random thought to email the author of Hataroid to add ipf support to his emulator and he actually did it!
He ported the ipf libraries to Android and sent me a beta of his emulator with ipf support, i tried many games from No-Intro Atari - ST and they worked!!!
