TruRip Dreamcast help
« on: January 19, 2018 - 15:33:56 »
Hi, I need help completing the Trurip Dreamcast set.

Europe & Oceania -- Missing 3 files. -- filled by d43con
Americas -- Missing 26 files. -- partially filled by d34con, now missing 7 (uploaded updated fixdat)
Non-GDROM -- Missing 83 files. -- partially filled by d34con and Maddog, now missing 2 (uploaded updated fixdat)

For the non-GDROM I have scoured the internet and cannot find the remaining files. Even stuff that should be able to be found (e.g. PSO Patcher, Planet Ring Patcher) readily available on those projects' websites unfortunately do not match the hashes in the dat.

The Asia SuperDAT is unfortunately broken right now so I cannot build that one.

I appreciate all assistance I can get here. Thanks!

just not to be bad, i just proclaim to not to use search anymore for others than myself. Its easy. If you got almost fullsets, your missings are often posted together in one.

Thanks! I have grabbed all that you have uploaded so far, so you may remove them. I have also uploaded an updated fixdat for the 9 left missing from the Americas set.

Okay, so I just stupidly realized that the reason Sonic Adventure LE's track02.raw wasn't pulling from the TOSEC set is because it's a disc variant that was never verified... because it only ever got one dumper, so no verification... but that dumper was me... derp. So I redumped the track02.raw and matched it. Here's a link to it if you want it for your set:

Embarrassingly, when I went to put up that Sonic Adventure LE this morning, I also came across a Sonic Adventure LE on GD-R, which matches the Sonic Adventure LE GD-R in the non-GDROM set. Didn't even realize I had this. So, I did it again!  >:( >:( >:( Just glad I caught these before having to make someone else upload them.

Sadly, I should also have "K-Project (Rez Beta) (World)" as this was dumped/supplied to me under the condition I release it anonymously alongside a CDI version. The CDI version survives on the internet, but the GDI version is completely missing from the internet and I don't seem to have it anywhere on my storage anymore.  :(

Thanks again! I have everything you've uploaded now. The fixdats are updated to reflect what I've fixed.

Awesome, thanks!

I updated the fixdats in the OP. Does anyone else have what's remaining? It's down to 15 files total. These are the sets missing files:

Non GD-ROM
GameShark - Cheats 'N Codes Volume 1 (World) -- .img and .sub files
Neo Zaikusu (World) -- .ccd, .img, .sub files -- filled by Maddog
ReDUX Dark Matters (World) -- .ccd, .img, .sub files -- filled by Maddog

Americas
Dead or Alive 2 (Demo) -- tracks 1 and 3
Super Magnetic Neo (Demo) -- tracks 1 and 3
Ultimate Fighting Championship (Demo) -- tracks 1, 3, 5

@D34con:
If you are missing more than what's listed above, please post a fixdat, I will be more than happy to upload anything I may have that you don't.

thanks for your kind offer.
i discarded this collection after promises were not kept.
the biggest joke to me is the "new" folder "MISSING". And once again name-change plus "uncompressed" sharing... This one doesnt need "any" attention from me.
there are some / several / many incomplete files which i want sometimes.
talking 'bout some 60-80 files in Saturn-Set. Talking 'bout "bad" (good) cue-files in Amiga-sets (all), Philips CDi and IBM. That thing was good, and some driver drove too risky around the corner.
Four times shared, four times changed any folder/filenames - structure. You know, i am storing it in solid 7z-archive. Renaming + "new" cue's is a massive, ABSOLUTLY SENSELESS task for absolut no gain.
If some "new" Saturn comes up, i will fill these gaps "without" checking afterwards, please not. Dont want to discover fresh surprises.

I can totally understand your frustration there.

Luckily for me, I am storing all Dreamcast TOSEC, Redump, and Trurip uncompressed, but on a ZFS volume that does compression and deduplication at the filesystem level. Since so much of Trurip overlaps with TOSEC and Redump, there's little penalty for collecting Trurip, and since I don't have to decompress/recompress to rename files, there's no big "rebuilding" step.

Unfortunately, that does make it harder to share files, since I have to compress them to ZIP/7Z every time I upload something.
