please help recognizing games.
« on: February 24, 2018 - 11:24:32 »
I am going through a bunch of carts, and if i find some suspicious ones, i would like to ask community, what do you think about it...
So here's first one:
Mahjong (EUR) (NDS) - Serial on Cart: expected: NTR-AXOP-EUR, Serial written: NTR-AXOP-EUR-1

Is this something special? Found no entry on any list around the net. What is it worth, what do you think?
just not to be bad, i just proclaim to not to use search anymore for others than myself. Its easy. If you got almost fullsets, your missings are often posted together in one.

Looks like it is "Mahjong (Europe) (En,Fr,De,Es,It)" from No-Intro.

there's no "....-1"

so it's only a shot in the dark saying what it seems to be

-1 signifies a Rev. 1

I believe this is an undumped cart. :)

You are kinda posting this great information on the wrong site.

Get yourself an account at No-Intro and PLEASE post your findings there.
There are plenty of people to help you ;)

The DS Mahjong is probably an unknown revision. Definitely get this one dumped. Even if it turns out the same, this game is listed as unverified in NoIntro so a dump is still somehow useful.
Although I need to note that AFAIK there were also a few cases were the ROM content was the same in games with and without the -1 and in these cases -1 indicates some other change (eg in packaging). Sorry, can't give any specific examples though.

Gluecksrad and Tetris DX are nothing to be excited about. Already listed in NoIntro dumps (apparently as the only versions) so get excited if you discover any *without* the -1.

As for Flintstones, it's worth dumping although most likely it will be nothing new. The entry for it lists identical USA and Europe dumps. So it is less likely that a Europe variant exists if they didn't bother to do a separate US release.

thanks for all your help.
Got much business in RL ATM. Will do as you said, already registered an account at no-intro, will put up any unlisted to see if someone could take care of it.
Will do it ASAP.
