headered and headerless nes Dat

Today i was updating the nes folder and a message pop out

Header support

This data file requires an enabled header definition:

No-Intro NES Dat iNES Header Skipper

Do you want to enable Support?

YES     NO

for what is this used?

i have a headered nes romset can i update it whit the DAT that is on DAToMATIC? or i have to use a special one because Clrmamepro send all to a backup folder for some reason of my ignorance Lol

No intro provides only headerless dat at the moment. The header skipper you are talking about is just skipping first 16 bytes and check the rest of the file for correct CRC as those bytes are a header and the rest is just ROM.
You can check out my thread with headered dats as I and some others do not like header skipper.
