Way, waaaay too expensive for a doorstopper, even if it is a rare Commodore doorstopper.
Really, let's say you had the money and bought it, what would you do with it other than look at it from time to time and eventually stash it away or sell it again ?

Nah give me a good old C64 any day, that I know what to do with. ;D

You are so right it is a lot of money.

I would rather spend the money on something else,  but is nice to look at.  :D

This is intended for retro enthusiasts of the kind where money doesn't matter.

Remember, one person's $2000, is another person's $20.

Yes, is too much for an old Home Computer and i don`t not have the money. I`m a $20 person.

But that's great something like that. It is technology history.

Well the key here is that it wasn't released.
So it is a home computer prototype of a model that only few prototypes exist and even less working.
It does make (some) sense selling it as much.

I have more basic and down-to-Earth retro targets, in increasing order of difficulty:

- That my C64 and 1541 still work (or I find someone to make a proper re-cap).
- Same for my Atari VCS.
- Same for my A500.
- Same for my A4000/040 (which is actually 060).
- That in my A4000/040, my EMPLANT board is still in (or is lost forever in one of the places my best-man-retro-friend-forever used to live... he had my A4000 for a few months).
- That I find space and time to set those up.
- That I get an Ultimate-64 (assuming it gets released) and find a transparent old-breadbox C64 case (only the newer C case exists).
- That I find money/space/time to actually build my own designed MAME-in-a-2.5-player-controller (that can also be screwed on a full cabinet).
- That I find an A1000.
- That I find an 128D.
- That I find space for them too.

...actually now that I think of it, that C65 may be an easier target.

That's the corporate driven world for you, bleeding you for unessential things like food and shelter while not caring about the important things like a healthy retro collection. haha

I would like to know who has the previous 59 machines going off that serial number.

It's all good here up to now, slowly building up the machine count. Hope it's all good there?

Considering five years ago the reports was a handful of machines ever made, that's some highish serials appearing. Seems a bit of an expensive donkey to me that resembles an albino Spectrum +3.

Yes that's right. I think that will not be sold for this price. But that is rare and rare things people want to have and that makes clear again the end of Commodore.
