Can anyone re-up these? I'm specifically looking for Organism, Steel Ranger, and Rocky Memphis, in D64 format. Thanks!

Thank you very much! :D

Does anyone happen to know what format they are in from their purchase page, out of curiosity? I plan on picking them up assuming I can get these to work. I'm one of those weird people that (still) prefers CCS64 (the DOS version, no less) for C64 emulation, but it doesn't support fancier stuff like Easyflash. I'm assuming the download version they offer is in .d64 format (which work fine) but I didn't see it explicitly listed anywhere.

When I've bought games as digital downloads from Protovision and Psytronik, it's always been tap & d64 or crt.

Awesome, that's what I figured - either one would be fine. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be Easyflash or a .d81 or something. You'd think they'd say on the store page somewhere...

Anyway, thanks again! Everything's working great! :D

Just out of curiosity, how come you prefer such an old and outdated emulator ?

If it's the "clean" C64 style UI, you really ought to try SDLVICE/SDL2VICE.
Everything looks C64 authentic in the menu (Press F12 to bring it up).

Because "Maximum 1541 Speed" is an absolute godsend, and no other C64 emulator I've ever tried has had an equivalent (and I've tried many). It's essentially an auto-warp that automatically detects when data is being loaded from the disk, uncaps the emulation speed so that it runs many many times faster than normal, and as soon as it detects that the load is complete it drops it back down to normal speed; again, without me touching anything. I can't overstate how fantastic this feature is.

That said, the Windows version of CCS64 has some... quirks. I'd go as far as to call them bugs. Weird, finicky issues with resolution, audio sync that's not quite right because it forces you to use an inexact refresh rate, weird responsiveness/stability/focus issues, and other problems...

None of these problems are present in the DOS version of CCS64 in combination with DOSBox Daum. I can force it to use a 50.125hz refresh rate, the sound syncs perfectly, and with the help of DOSBox's mapper function, I can add a bunch of handy functions to various controller buttons/combos, like joystick port swapping, disk swapping, etc. And, of course, Maximum 1541 Speed is still there working its magic.

I make a .bat which uses relative paths, it starts DOSBox and directs it to a .conf (DOSBox configuration) file, which also uses relative paths, which directs it to the specific disk (.d64, .prg, whatever) to load. I start the .bat, it starts DOSBox, then it starts CCS64, then it boots the specific disk.

If you want an example of how this works, I have a curated set of 128 games in a package on my website that are setup in this format. You can find it here: [You are not allowed to view links] Register or Login

I've been in the process of converting all my C64 games over to this format, and have done about 400 games so far. It's definitely time consuming, but worth it to me in the long run. Vice, Hoxs, etc. are fine emulators, but I prefer it this way on balance.
