Here are 14 SNES ROMs extracted from WiiVC (Virtual Console):
http://www39.zippyshare.com/v/16539920/file.html

And here are 236 SNES ROMs extracted from WiiVC (Virtual Console) and with it's PCM sound recstored in order to made it playable with it's sound again:
http://www39.zippyshare.com/v/75557552/file.html

I personally extracted and restored the sound of all these ROMs from the WiiVC wad files. All are tested working in emulator (SFA2 with graphic glitches).

Regards.

There should be a BIG pack with undatted nes-stuff floating around here, but for the love of all I can't find it.
I have it on my computer, but I have some it already merged into the WOD and there's no way I can bring back those, so my pack is incomplete (for nongood.)

i believe the file was actually called nesstuff.zip

nesstuff is set of Chinese roms uploaded by sdragon 2 months ago. Those who needed it got it. The link is gone, but you will see it again.

Here you have:

But all those ROMs are not new in the WIP posted by Yoshi, so you have them in the previous NonGoodSNES .

Title: Re: NonGood
Post by: RATMNL on October 05, 2014 - 21:14:50
It's a good thing I have no moderator-rights here...

I mean this was a place to dump undatted ROMs,
with the WIP as guideline-dat to figure out which roms to post,
which is an awesome idea, being degraded by fixdat requests through the thread,
for DATs not even properly released.

We have an entire seperate forum for this

I sort of want to yell: This isn't RR you know?  ;D

EDIT: yes, I know... not my place, but screw it...
Title: Re: NonGood
Post by: fprietog on October 05, 2014 - 21:26:46
I agree with you. Maybe it can be fixed. I propose that:
- first Yoshi may publish the WIP dats in his forum as beta dats. It also will make them more visible for all people in order to find possible problems.
- then a mod should move the posts about fixdats to that thread.

So we can talk about the betas in its corresponding place and contrib with ROMS here trying to not become semi-off-topic here (again).
Title: Re: NonGood
Post by: Macca38 on October 06, 2014 - 01:24:28
Yes...I agree...

I will speak to other Mods concerning this..

I am feeling my way....this Is my first time EVER I have been a Mod, on a forum, and I am still a little unsure what to do...and really dont like throwing too much weight around, but from my perspective, I try and let the forums run themselves as much as possible, as do the other Mods, IMO.

A thread like this, should not be used for requesting fixes..

We have appropriate threads for this, and when a member simply posts where they like, we end up EXACTLY like RR.

It shows a lack of enthusiasm or respect for the forum...and how It has been set up.

But, we dont want to end up like PD either..

Anyway, busy today, but I will try and get onto this...see If I can move a few posts.

The other Mods are busy making teh site secure....so as I see something Inappropriately placed, I will try and move It. Clean the place up!

ANYONE READING THIS.....PLEASE, keep your posts In the appropriate thread, and "TRY" to keep the place clean..

Look, I know Im guilty of this myself, as I feel comfortable here, but I will also try and keep an eye on myself.

Its a pretty "casual" forum......how we like It.

Just had another thought also....rather than clog threads up with "Thanks" we should have a "Thankyou" thread, where people can thank those that have helped them, In some way..

We used to have a KARMA button, but It was being abused, and used for malicious purposes..

Cheers

Attachements are pretty large...

Multiply by number of downloads...

Generally, I believe we try to keep forum attachments to around 1Mb or so, In size....but Its starting to get a little out of hand..

So, if possible, please try and upload to a host, If much bigger than 1 Mb or so..

In saying all this, I am very grateful, for the uploads..

Thankyou!

"SMW patch" in one of pakkie's packs was badly applied.  Fixed + renamed version attached.

"Pearl Harbor" is one of the VIP MIX 6 releases (there are dozens of builds!)  Where did this one come from?

"Kirby's DreamWorld Demo" had a bad offset also, please test your patched roms before sharing. *Edit: Multiple versions of this hack, I'll try to include all of them...

"Automatic Mario -_- Kumikyoku" broken.  Fix added....

Ya beat me to it, pakkie!  I was getting a new batch of SNES ready to post as well.

I'll still post it.  There will be some duplicates between this group and the one pakkie just posted above.  I don't have the time right now to go through each one and compare hashes to remove the duplicates.  In any case, there are still some in this group that are unique.

Thanks pakkie!

Lots of unlisted Sega Pico roms (assuming they aren't actually from something else.)
http://edgeemu.net/browse-pico-num.htm (also pick the other letters.)
They all have .md extensions, which makes me think "Mega-Drive", but then the missing files I had from Pico and found at EdgeEmu also had .md extensions, and they scanned.  Note:  I also found at least one of the GoodPico missing files there, although it doesn't scan as it's a [!p] file.

I'm manually downloading the titles that aren't listed in GoodPico, and I'll post a Mega link or something with them.

EDIT: It looks like they are all in No-Intro (AFAIK,) I haven't messed with that yet.  Still, the collector in me hopes they will be added to GoodTools one day.

I have been trying to add your roms to my spreadsheet, but without any source information (links) I am finding some entries impossible to properly identify.  For some, it's too late.

names like "demo" and "smw" mean absolutely nothing, and will never be allowed into GoodSNES.

pakkie, http://smwc.me/1197875 ...Were your '7hero' and 'demo only' roms from here?  Do you still have the original zipfiles which contained IPS files used to produce those roms from your 'NEW SNES' package from 2015-02-15?  I almost mixed them in with the official versions, when I found they may have been edits by this guy from Romania.

I appreciate your spending time to grab what may only be available for a week or less, which is a critical step toward making sense of it later.  Without any supplementary info however, it becomes pure guesswork, when it really doesn't have to be.  Let me make this clear. I always try to record the following accurately:

- notes or observations, such as whether it has problems running in snes9x but not in zsnes (addmusic issue), or the patch was intended for another base rom
- link to source that provides supplementary info for identification of hack (usually an SMWC post)
- YouTube/other Video link, not discriminating from: LP/LR, Blind, or TAS runs
- archive hack was within, or moderator area (media.smwcentral.net/<mod>) if not in filebin #8548
- internal signature/name if not SUPER MARIOWORLD
- type of hack, as in what experience to expect (adventure, kaizo, joke, puzzle, broken, etc)
- most original determined referential name of rom, same as patch to make it
- size of rom in MB if precisely a power of two, in bytes if not
- SHA-1/CRC32 of UNHEADERED rom that is known to be patched correctly; headers do not have value in most SNES roms
- earliest known date (YMD) the specific hack was uploaded to SMWC, recorded in an archive, or shared in forum post
- SMWC account ID# which hack was obtained from or has been matched to
- username of associated SMWC account ID number, compensating for temporary names given during special events
- logo/emblem/badge seen first after rom starts
- contest submitted to, or primary name of hack as shown in title, past intro paragraph, or another definite source
- clarifying, subtextual name if given after primary name
- version of rom hack as stated on title screen or in forum submission
- entry number if submitted in a contest, or internal level number if developed for a collab hack project
- winning rank of entry if contest submission
- copyright/creation date (usually seen below the title or by the author)
- author(s) of hack shown on title screen or from user's forum submission
- confirmation of whether author is accurate and differs from, or double imposes user who created hack
- welcome / introductory paragraph shown after start of new game
- relevant hack level name, often internal level address #105 (left of start on classic overworld)

Most of it is nearly automatic in my system at this point.  The problem, which occurs too often, is that when the link is not provided, or leads to a deleted resource (as with temporary hacks awaiting moderation), I have to rely on the kind of sleuthing I've become accustomed to during rom searching, or worse, speculate based on search engine caches which tend to expire or not exist at all.  This leaves unfillable holes in my dat work. I avoid saying anything so others don't see me as ungrateful. I love that you're sharing, but hate that it cannot be properly preserved.  Original archives with IPS and documentation contained are much more valuable to me than patched roms which I can do myself.

All I ask is you share a link, if not a copy of the webpage, for each SMW hack provided, and I'll continue to do all of the above for you when I can get around do it.  Thank you.

Is this something you would like me to include with my posts as well?  Are my posts even helpful at all, as some of the roms get duplicated between us?  I certainly don't mind helping where I can, but there's no point if it's not necessary.
Title: Re: NonGood
Post by: Zandro on March 19, 2015 - 00:42:22
You give enough info to make searches easy, and I trust it enough that I feel safe putting them on the backburner. It's when there's a deleted zipfile once containing a cryptic name and sparse title info that I am unable to locate the source and/or date, since an unrenamed rom only tells of what the patch was named and when it was applied, not when it was produced and by which author.  I have to fault myself some by not keeping up with the piles as they're made available.  Since the lifespan of these patches is sometimes literally hours, my sleeping for a month is a bad idea.  I do not actively seek out new patches like you and pakkie, I am trying to ensure that the names are not so vague that it's impossible to know which version is what, especially when they are to end up in GoodSNES.  I still have over a thousand others to rename in addition, so it's not like I'm looking for the work either.  :D

Already did these. There's actually at least 24 such staff storage areas, not including the HM userbin.  Newer entries are added time to time, as those staff who preserve them will link these 'removals' (rejected submissions for listing on the site hacks page) from the associated hack moderation topics on SMW Central.

I hereby put on record that I do not condone redistribution of roms that are shared privately for the express purpose of quality assurance. That said, sneaky bastard. ;) You should provide some input to improve the eventual release of EQ.

The preceding message is inherently tongue in cheek.

*Edit: New Super Mario World 2 Hack Snes By Drakerodriguez2.zip - Nope. An unknown version of Le Avventure di Mario 1 by Silver Scarlet (83 bytes are different from v1.4).  This youtuber has misrepresented someone else's work to garner subscribers, he has no hand in romhacking.

Metadata is king.  Like I said, I'd rather have the original IPS and archive. In many cases, people do not provide either.  They get the worst result on my sheet. The only resort is if I can find their release location, and I cannot always.

A few notes:

1. For the most part, I don't think I'm going to bother with the Super Mario World hacks any more.  For one, there's just too many of them for me to keep up with given the limited free time I have, and two, there are others already putting quite a bit of hard work into them (Zandro).

2. Again, due to not much free time lately, many of the patches for the ROMs in this batch have been sitting on my hard drive for quite a while.  I am aware that Deacon has posted a new Nongood set over at PD, but I haven't downloaded it yet.  As such, it's possible some in this batch could have already been included in that set.

3. Where beneficial, I'm going to start including the original archives.  For example, MSU1 patches require several additional files to work properly, including instructions for those who have never used them before.  I regret not including those additional files in the past, but I will now.  Also, that explains why the file size of this batch is so large.  One of the original archives contains PCM audio and a video file.  All the others have links to download the PCM audio.

2014 have been deleted... I did keep them up for nearly 18 months (Yori will have mostly added anything that he found in that pack to nonggod and unrenamed I would have thought)

2013 have never existed, as I only started doing these in 2014

You specifically stated Message #274.  The link I mentioned is from that message.  The link you gave is from #278.

The difference between 278 and 281 is a result of comparison of his 2015 NonGood shares with the GoodTools databases and removal of duplicates.

Anything that is undatted for the NonGood sets here.

what other sources besides goodtools and nongood dats count as "known" for the undatted section here?
if a file is datted by tosec or wod, is the file considered "datted"?

i want to know which sources are counting as sources to determine if a file is datted or undatted(unknown)!
thanks~ see ya
Title: Re: NonGood

Personally the only sources I check are Good and NonGood.
Title: Re: NonGood
Post by: bodkinz on September 11, 2016 - 23:50:22
And me... I put the possible undatted files through Good, NonGood and TOSEC.. just to be on the safe side.

Title: Re: NonGood
Post by: @tractivo on September 12, 2016 - 00:01:25
trurip, wod, smw hacks (zandro), mess (mame sl), neo kobe, maybe-intro are all sources that may already list some files that goodtools ain't. sometimes even more accurate than good and nongood.

thats why i am asking this. is the goal to provide files for yori yoshizuki to add them to nongood and also cowering to add to his goodtools databases?
or is it more like, i have a file that is nowhere datted, so i share it here? whats the concept :D

Yes, that's the concept. To provide files non datted in NonGoodxxx sets... that has files non dated in Goodxxx sets.

If a file is not in Good and NonGood is welcomed here (it can be in other sets like No-Intro).

BTW: The name of this thread is also a clue  ;D
Title: Re: NonGood
Post by: bodkinz on September 12, 2016 - 00:11:17
Yup, what he said  :D

If it isn't already in the "Good" set or the "NonGood" set then it is welcome here.. Yori has added anything from any other sets (SMW, WOD, No-Intro... etc etc) as far as I know... sooooo.... basically anthing that no one has already added elsewhere... blah blah blah :)

There is collecting datted files..... and then if you are a mad collector there is seeking out stuff that hasn't been added yet....

looks at Mad Yori...  :P

Its people like Yori, Cowering , The TOSEC team, the No-Intro team, Connie, Zandro.... and all the others I havn't mentioned who make this all possible  :-*

And all those amazing people who dump the carts/tapes/disks.... etc etc...

Title: Re: NonGood
Post by: @tractivo on September 12, 2016 - 00:24:01
i guessed so much. thanks guys for the clarification.
bodkinz then why are you also scanning with tosec? :D

a lot of people are already collecting more than goodsets and nongood. like the sources i mentioned before. so wouldn't it be better to decide on a more comprehensive list than only good/nongood? i think yori and cowering are skilled enough to find out which files they could add from other sources db's.

also in the latest snes wip dat a lot of files are listed which are also listed in zandro's smw hacks dats. this generates more and more duplicates. i personally do deduplication on my dats and such, but still i dont see the purpose, especially when zandro's smw dats are superior than goodtools (in case of naming).

not sure if this is a well organized system. but no critisizm meant, just my thoughts :P
Title: Re: NonGood
Post by: bodkinz on September 12, 2016 - 00:31:30
I scan using TOSEC as it has several console entries... I just like to make sure i'm not uploading anything that has already been uploaded... I worry about files that have been added to TOSEC that may have been removed at a later date for various reasons.

Yori adds anything to NonGood that isn't in Good.. no matter what source it has come from. (as far as I can see)

Might seem like a lot of duplication at times.. but to a certain extent we all do our own thing to a lesser or greater extent...

your choice what you decide to collect ... or not :)

Also somthing to think about..... If Zandro didn't do his SMW thing... Yori wouldn't have the time to patch all those SMW files... and they would never get added eventually to the "Good" set... anyway... i'm sure you understand ... duplication is necessary sometimes.. its not all bad :)

yah i get it :D all those freaks do their jobs. and i appreciate it.
the duplication is not that big of a deal for me. as i have a good setup to maintain my dats and roms. in which i do deduplicating before i start building to the dats. but while scanning the files provided here i noticed that some files are matching sets of other sources than good and nongood. thats why i wanted to make sure how you guys scan the files before uploading. now i know ;) (at least i pretend to)

Right!!!

Every weeks I checked almost 300 websites in the emu scene to grab something (ahahah)

ISO (ftps, baidu, svfs, torrents) but only good items

CBM (everywhere i'd reach)

PC images (winwold, betarchives, my chinese cds, two big archived files)

AtariAge (consolles)

Some mailing lists

Various crossed Weblinks

I'm thinking there are enough to check.....

But Every files is checked if zipped archivev, sig attached, some infos like headers, formats, genuine, conversion, etc etc

Using mainly two tools (windows commander & HxD hex editor).

Bye bye.

Yori Yoshizuki thanks for the partial insight. though i would wish you could list all the publicly accessable sources (links) in a appropriate thread, if not here. so more people could start hunting and collecting undatted or nongood-datted files. instead of only a handful of longtime collectors who already know one or two of the sources you are collecting from.

and now a different story: if i am understanding correct, nongood's purpose or goal is to support cowering in extending his goodtools' databases, right? because after the files provided/listed by nongood are listed in the goodtools, they are excluded from the next nongood releases.
if i am correct, then why would cowering prohibit sharing information from the goodtools databases, which are (to some extend) taken from other sources like nongood themselves.

i mean the nongood dats are shared publicly, then the information from these dats are merged into goodtools, which make them unaccessable for the public. even if goodtools is the most comprehensive database (after WoD) for some systems, they should not try to hide information. information is there to be shared. not to be hidden.

which leads me to another idea. why would you Yori Yoshizuki support "rommanager/naming" tools that aim for a monopol in the romworld.
if the WoD dats would still be maintained, i would have suggested to only support these dats, if it is completion what we are after. because i think the idea of NonGood and UnRenamed is to get all roms and isos ever dumped to be datted.

so why not start a new source on your own. (which partially you already are), but with the difference to not filter information that is already listed in other sources. BUT to really start merging all information from all sources into one mighty source.

for this we could start forming a team of members, which are already found on romshepherd. so many skilled guys here.

lets create the "Romshepherd-Datting" team, which will dat everything ever dumped. basically its WoD with a team and a community! this could be a community driven project. and this forum is quite to good nest for that community.

and the credo for this project is "Let's DAT them all!"  ;)

yah i know~, cool huh  8) :P

1) I cannot track all links I visited. They're often usefull to get one or few files, to only few seconds. I read emuscene news and googleize almost everything.
All files are avaiable but some revised items or files I made, converted, fixed.

2) I took nongood set from kiczek years ago (maybe 08 or 09 2004) and I started that job with passion. These files would be added to goodtoolz (I'm not their manteiner)

3) some goodtoolz stored infos will be closed to public because they check files with headerless or  format. You could be made dats once one set is complete.

4) No-Intro, TOSEC, Goods console renaming modes got always some mistakes in their format, (too long (Tosec), too simple (Goods) No-Intro (some game names wrong)
According to me best renaming one console file is: Game & Watch Collection - Club Nintendo (2006)(Nintendo)(Jp)[NTR-AWTJ-JPN][Gift Cart]

5) In the past I was called to join renaming groups but after 2/3 weeks I dropped that status (arrogance, jealousy mainly ehehe)

6) I cannot afford any new renaming groups, because I haven't too much time, I like to be an romhunter and I'm a lone wolf....

7) I'm datting only for passion. Maybe my work could be hated or loved. All dats of mines will die one day close or later it'd be.

PS: WOD project is a mess I dislike it from beginning. It's better a section merged files well renamed than single WOD website dats (u'd check how much garbage there is into).
Title: Re: NonGood

1) suuure, and we believe that ;) someone having his routine for years now would somewhere hold a list of sources he checks regularly. at least i would note them down somewhere.

3) "because they check files with headerless or format"? thats a weak excuse ;) also "You could be made dats once one set is complete"? since when? the goodtools come with a file that says something different than that. sharing dir2dats made from goodsets are not allowed it says. which is why i dont understand why you are supporting "him" by letting him take over all your gathered information, but then store them in his tools and tell others to not take the information from the databases as if they belong to him only.

i dont say that the WoD dats are the best dats ever produced. though what i am liking about them is the idea of generating a catalogue which holds information for all possible sources in one place. not only one. bla bla :D peace~

@tractivo

You'll be suprised how many FTP (back door) sites are still running and public.
9/10 times, a patient search for CRC and/or then part of the missing 'rom' filename, will yield the sites you are looking for. Just a note: I'm sure yori is a member of many sites ;)

I would love to return to hunting/patching/editing dumps for 'you' guys, but just don't have the spare time :(

I do like your wisdom in trying to achieve a 1 dat/1 system set of dumps methodolagy. I tried it many, many years ago. I guarantee that in 5/10 years time, with more spare cash and an upgraded PC/storage unit, you'll be regretting all the time you wasted 'now', doing what you are doing :)
Title: Re: NonGood

hahaha Connie that last (edited) part of your message is funny man. and you have a good point there. one of the motivation behind my interest in "merged" sets is the limited storage. (i have 11TB in total). BUT not that alone is my desire for the "ultimate merged dat source". i really like having everything well organized and sorted in one place. and not scattered throughout collections. having the same file in multiple sets but only in different names just annoys me :D thats why i dedupe all the sources based on my prefered source ranking etc. etc. you know the drill from somewhere ;)

similar to why i prefer romvault over clrmamepro and especially goodtools when it comes to rommanagers. because romvault does one thing absolutely right. it allows to do all the rom sorting/managing in one go. shows all available files in your collection in one table and so on. sure romvault could improve more in one or two features.
if you make use of goodtools you cant use one exe for all systems. you cant make fixdats. you cant add information like dats. you cant share the dir2dats. you cant throw it out the window.. :D

whatever. for now i found my way to maintain my collection. it goes like:
1. Ultimate DATs Collection (gather all dats in one collection)
2. SabreTools (dedupe the hell out of those dats)
3. Romvault (build the actual collections)

only fun killer are
1. goodtools being so unsupportive and not sharing information
2. the official romvault's missing header file support

point two might be changing soon. but point one... tzzzz~~

Maybe you've a lot to learn about ROM dumps? ;)

The GOOD exe files dont magically scan files, they hold all the crc, sha1 data for each file along with an integrated header skipper, byte swapper, etc., etc..

Collect GOOD, strip away dumper headers, convert all (N64) into your favourite (big endian z64), keep emu headers for nes, fds (but use header skippers), etc. - and you now start to have a standardised GOOD collection.
....don't forget to set all your extentions the same ;)

e.g. SNES smc without dumper header can become sfc. most bin are already sfc. Use UCON to test!
Enjoy learning.
Title: Re: NonGood
Post by: @tractivo on September 13, 2016 - 23:43:27
hey Connie,
most of those methods i already know about. actually i did some of these for WoD Redux. making snes roms headerless and then changing the extension to sfc, is exactly what i did.
also i converted all n64 to byteswapped v64, because thats the format no-intro uses, by that i can dedupe most of the goodn64 roms. but you mentioned big endian, any reason why i would go with big endian instead?

how does header skippers work for nes and fds. you mean when i dir2dat the headers can be "skipped", so only the headerless portion of the file is datted? but i keep my headered files. or do i misunderstand that part. some clarification would be nice.

and i still want to know why sharing dats for goodsets is not allowed, but roms named with goodtools are? especially when the database inside the goodtools are made with information from other sources aswell (like nongood). anyone give me a good reason please. this bugs me :D
Title: Re: NonGood
Post by: Connie on September 14, 2016 - 02:01:35
big endian (originally z64 extention because of the dumper) makes it much easier to read the header info regarding cart code and internal name, etc.

If the header skip pluggin is loaded when you make a dir2dat, then it should only calculate size/crc, etc based on the cart ROM/s / disk data. If most emulators need headers, then there is no point removing them.
Title: Re: NonGood
Post by: @tractivo on September 14, 2016 - 14:01:52
thanks for the info Connie. i will stick to v64 for now as it matches with no-intro.
and i tried to dir2dat files with the header skipper loaded. and seems like it worked (tested with nes roms). which is cool, because now i dont need to convert the actual files to headerless, but can dat them as if they were headerless. that helps.

now i have one issue with clrmamepro when i rebuild a set with a dat that makes use of the headerfile. if i have two files 1x headerless and 1x headered for the same set, only the first file found in the sourcedir is build. the other is skipped on.

how do you guys maintain the dats with headerfiles in clrmamepro to build the sets without skipping on matching files.
if there is a solution for that, i might be a big step closer to how my final setup will look like :)

thanks ~

*edit: i also tested the headerfiles for n64 which are included in the clrmamepro archive. there are three of them. and based on my results the only one that detects all variants at once is: "n64-BADC.xml" <- this one finds little endian, byteswapped and big endian. what are the other two for? they have any purpose? because they skip on everything.
Title: Re: NonGood
Post by: Connie on September 14, 2016 - 15:19:34
Unfortunately, that is a 'bug' with header pluggins and rebuilding.

Since I'm very particular about my nes headers, I always hexedit the dumps and check against another (if a rom revision) or against bootgods database. Otherwise I'll test it works or make a header that does.
e.g. For all my PAL dumps (Europe/Australia), I set byte 0x09 to 01 This forces the emulator to run the game at 50 fps (and not 60 which 'they' usually default to). A PAL game running 10 fps faster makes for a harder and very different gameplay. ;)

Regarding N64. There are 3 pluggins because there are 3 types of data format based on the dumper used. Big Endian (z64), Byte Swapped (v64), Little Endian (n64). Extentions don't really mean anything today.
I think you use the one based on the format your ROMs are in. It will then correct or throw out any non-matching based on your settings.
Title: Re: NonGood
Post by: @tractivo on September 14, 2016 - 15:28:58
just as i thought this was my missing puzzle piece to my dat/rom maintaining setup, there comes this bug. that destroys the whole headerfile support thing in clrmamepro. that needs to be fixed, else it can make people think the files that were skipped are not needed. damn~

Connie i see you like your nes headers ;)

about the n64 headerfiles, i know about the three formats thats why i had three roms in each a different format. (not extensions, the actual format). i converted them myself with "Tool64".
then i tried building the nointro 64 dat. first without any headerfiles activated. the only file that matched was the byteswapped format file.
then i tried each of the headerfiles. but only "n64-BADC.xml" does work for rebuilding the files. because thats the only headerfile that detected all files at once. even though there were three different formats.

BUT i found out a good purpose or usage for the other two headerfiles. when dir2datting with these headerskippers i can decide and standartize my dat to one of the formats, no matter what format the sourcefiles are in. so yeah thats cool too.

only fun killer is buggy rebuild with headerfiles. damn it.

so what if you guys use clrmamepro with No-Intro NES dat. and all your sets are fully build. you are nothing missing. but still have files in your sourcedir. which should also be build to the dat, as they are matching and legit roms. what you do with them? do they stay in your sorting sourcedir forever waiting to die from screaming:"hey i do match that dat, why dont you build me along with the other matching roms!!" hahahah those poor roms.

Several of the SMW hacks shared have been 4-byte alterations of roms I've already datted (I can't say for the other games). With few exceptions, I simply dat what the patch outputs, nothing further, to preserve the result as what the producer presumably intended.  If the result rom's checksum mismatched the header, 9/10 times it's because the author's source rom did also, due to post-save label edits or further modification by tools which don't care to maintain this unaffecting data.

Are you fixing the header checksums for a purpose?  AFAIK, "cleaning" roms by modifying the internal checksum is only being disingenuous about the true nature of the data.  When a car is trying to report a problem by flashing a check engine light, you shouldn't reset its status codes and call it okay.  Imagine if No-Intro does this to "fix" dumps of actual cartridges that actually had bad memory cells.  This is now one of the areas I'm considering be filtered out to reduce duplicates, so unless there's a compelling reason, I'd like to not have to keep adding them as (CRC Fix).  So far only 10-12 of them from you, but I know of at least 2550 candidates for this type of alteration.

They have also been de-headered and checked for duplications (from previous years and also to make sure there arn't any duplications within their own folder... anyway.. here they are... size is just over 1gb... a lot of GBA files..

70% of these roms are in NonGoodSNES or my SMW dat (deheadered), but interestingly, the only SMW rom to add from your upload is a SMWC Halloween LDC contest entry I listed as missing.  It was a joke entry, but that contest is now complete!  Thanks for sharing.  I will be comparing my dates with yours.

Some older contests are still missing entries... http://smwc.me/1179878  I would massively appreciate zips or patches of ANY roms you may have from these dates.
