Zelda "Art & Artifacts" and "Encyclopedia"
« on: July 11, 2018 - 22:03:53 »
I know they're out there somewhere, but I can't seem to find the PDF versions of the Legend of Zelda "Art & Artifacts" and "Encyclopedia" books.  Anyone willing to point me towards these?  Thanks.

will cbz do ?  you can convert them to PDF yourself

if you dont know about / aren't familiar with comic book formats, they are just pictures (of each page) in a compressed archive
you can either open and view them with a comic book (cbz/cbr) viewer,
convert them using a program (or indeed do it manually by printing to PDF) - but why bother, you are better off keeping the origial as it is.
or you can rename
*.cbz to be *.zip
*.cbr to be *.rar

and open them to see the original scans.

Also just saying - it literally took about 3 seconds to find both of them on usenet. you aren't trying hard enough.

The Legend of Zelda - Art & Artifacts (2017) (Digital) (danke-Empire).cbz  (623MB)

The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia 01 (2018) (digital) (Glorith-HD).cbz   (922MB)

and as a special bonus - because i'm a glorious bastard like that (and a bit pissed from somehow sinking a bottle of gin whilst England lost tonight)
The Legend of Zelda - Hyrule Historia (2013) (Digital) (BlurPixel-Empire).cbr      (173MB)

Thanks!  I’d prefer the original PDFs, but until someone shares them, I’ll gladly accept these.

Sidenote: I’m not on Usenet, and I was looking for the PDFs.  So, it’s not that I wasn’t trying.

Either way, thanks, again!

Well, I'm still looking for the original PDFs, but the following are the closest I've found, so far.
"Oscar Gomez" uploaded them to the Internet Archive.

So do you actually have any details of the ‘original’ PDFs

Well, I would assume they would be like the Official Hyrule Historia PDF.  If you zoom in with a PDF reader, the text should not pixelate, as it does with other documents and images once a PDF has been converted to a different compressed format.

riiiiight so what you're after is a purely Postscipt / vector version rather anything  raster/bitmap
has nothing to do with being converted or compressed, either way I cant help with that. good luck though.
share em if you do find them
